Alpine plants are plants that grow in the alpine climate, which occurs at high elevation and above the tree line.
Yoshihide Momotani (born in the late 1920s) is a Japanese biologist.
He is also known as an important figure in origami, the creator of many folded paper models (some with his wife Sumiko). Among his achievements, he managed to create complex shapes, eg, plants, dolls house, atoms and molecules. Momotani used these last two types of folding during the chemistry course for first year students to enable them to develop the organization and properties of these elements.
